Workshop to capitalise on good practice in managing urban initiatives in Tunisia
The UFI Tunisia organised a day of exchanges to identify best practice in the sustainability of urban initiatives. The aim : to transform the experiences of the Tunisian team into knowledge that can be shared within the UFI network and beyond.
Handicap International, lead partner of the Urban Fabric Initiatives in Tunisia, organised a workshop in early September at the headquarters of the Gabès municipality to discuss best practice in the management of urban initiatives.
The event, which provided an opportunity for discussion and reflection on the projects carried out, was attended by around fifty participants, representing associative and institutional partners from the three areas of intervention: Tunis, Gabès and Béja.
The working sessions helped to identify good practice, points of attention and successes at every stage of the project process, from the diagnosis phase to the implementation and management of the facilities.
These recommendations will be brought together in a guide for actors working for the urban fabric and wishing to deploy similar projects in new territories or under new modalities.
