Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the UFI Antananarivo between the Antananarivo Urban Community and GRET
On Monday 4 December, the Pépinière Urbaine d'Antananarivo officially signed its partnership agreement in the presence of the director of the AFD Madagascar, Yves Guicquero, from the Commune Urbaine d'Antananarivo, Guy Razafindralambo, and the Gret, represented by Mamisoa Andriamihaja.
In the presence of the Director of AFD Madagascar, Yves Guicquero, the Commune Urbaine d'Antananarivo, represented by Guy Razafindralambo, Cabinet Director, and GRET, represented by Mamisoa Andriamihaja, sealed their agreement to work closely together to implement the Antananarivo Urban Nursery project.
Urban Incubator projects are schemes that, precede or accompany major urban development projects supported by AFD through the co-design and co-construction of citizen initiatives or developments in public space. In Antananarivo, the Pépinière Urbaine is linked to the future project to improve soft mobility, as well as the Lalankely project (aimed at opening up and cleaning up the capital's priority districts). The project is being implemented by GRET and its partner, Cabanon Vertical, for a period of 36 months (2023 - 2026).
