Meetings to give a voice to users, cultural players and institutions at the UFI Ouagadougou
As part of a usage review (achievement use assessment) of the Ouagadougou Urban Incubator aimed at defining the future facilities of the Urban Development Master Plan 2 (PDDO2) , meetings were organised to give a voice to users, cultural players and institutions.
This community consultation puts residents at the heart of the thought process, where every citizen's voice helps shape the developments in their living space/neighbourhood. Designed as spaces for dialogue and reflection, the workshops were an opportunity for everyone to share their aspirations and actively participate in defining the final equipment planned for the sites.
Discussions focused on immediate amenity needs as well as long-term amenity aspirations. All participants were given the opportunity to present their ideas and refine their visionaround it. This community consultation ensures a diverse representation of the needs of all. In this way, they reinforce the legitimacy of the PDDO2's achievements, as well as the match between the needs and uses of all its stakeholders.
The results of the workshops as well as the preliminary survey carried out by the Urban Incubator will be consolidated in a detailed report that will provide recommendations valuable to the Agence Municipale de Gestion Territoriale (AMGT) and the PDDO2 cultural facilities design team. The document will serve as a strategic basis to guide the achievements of the Pépinière Urbaine de Ouagadougou.
