PUA accelerates work on the Mobilité Douce project
Between October and November 2025, the Antananarivo UFI (Pépinière Urbaine d'Anatananarivo) made significant progress on urban development work undertaken as part of the Mobilité Douce Project financed by the AFD.
In the Ampandrana and Nanisana areas, work resumed on 17 October after the national strike and continued uninterrupted until the end of November.
The teams made particular progress on pedestrian walkways, bus stops, school forecourts and the monitoring of street furniture manufactured in workshops (sunshades, barriers, seating). Several technical adjustments were made during site visits to ensure that the structures met the real needs of users.

At the same time, a new project began on 24 November at the Basket 6 bis site in Antsararay, with the updating of the implementation plans, the validation of authorisations and the setting up of the site. Technical adjustments have also been undertaken with the municipal services.
These developments mark a key stage in the gradual transformation of Antananarivo's public spaces.
