This international event, organised under the aegis of UN-HABITAT, was held in Poland from 6 to 30 June 2022 and focused on "Transforming cities for a better urban future".

All UFI (Dakar, Ouagadougou, Tunisia, Abidjan) and two UFI currently being set up (Madagascar and Kenya), project owners (CETUD, APIX, SENTER, SETER,..) and the municipalities involved in the Urban Fabric Initiatives of Dakar, as well as the scheme's partners (AFD, IRD) and a group of students from the Ecole Urbaine de Paris meet in Dakar.

All the UFI will be in Dakar from 6 to 10 December 2021 for the first multi-stakeholder exchange and capitalisation meeting organised by the UFI network!

On Friday 1 October 2021, the network of urban nurseries organised an exchange between the Abidjan and Dakar nurseries and the Fabrique Collective, an association set up in 2020 by students after an initial trip to Douala in 2019, during which a project to develop the area around the Kondi drain was drawn up in conjunction with the Douala Urban Community and the Agence française de développement.

A new urban nursery will be built in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of the KISIP phase 2 urban restructuring project. KISIP is a project to rehabilitate shanty towns in 15 Kenyan cities, with the aim of improving living conditions for residents by financing infrastructure and improving services.
